They said: “We are delighted to have funded The Rainbow Room, which will provide a calm and controlled environment for children to engage with sensory experiences. This space is designed to support emotional regulation, focus, and overall well-being, offering profound benefits for pupils with diverse needs. We hope that The Rainbow Room brings joy and comfort to the children of Folly View Primary School for many years to come”.
Folly View is a new school, in name and structure. Having previously been an infant school, they are now entering into a period of significant growth where they be adding an additional Year group of children for the next few years. To be able to grow into an all through primary school, they have moved to a newly built school in Faringdon.
Head of School, Jo Baird said:
“At Folly View we strongly believe in inclusivity, it does not matter where you come from or who you are, at Folly View we all belong and matter. Every member of the community unites like a rainbow to celebrate our differences. Which is why we have named it the Rainbow room.
The generous donation from Faringdon united charities has enabled us to enhance our strong pastoral offer of the Orchard and the Rainbow room to all the children across the school. Already we have seen the huge impact it has made on our school community and are incredibly grateful”.
